Portside is one of my favourite hangouts. Even though it's not close to home, the ICB makes it a quick journey and there's always parking unless one of those pesky cruise ships is arriving or leaving. The cinemas there are great too!

LUNCH SPECIAL AT MANX
I've known Paul McGivern, Chef Owner of Manx, since the days when he worked in Tognini's kitchen. He really puts passion into his cooking and the flavours are superb. He also is a champion of local produce and has been for many years.

A TASTE OF ITALY
Just a little closer to the river, Gusto da Gianni has revived the Milanese custom of aperitivo and is offering guests free antipasti with pre-dinner drinks. This starts on Friday 3 July and continues every Friday, from 5.30pm to 7pm Gusto da Gianni will be putting on their own Italian aperitivo.
Your aperitivo pre-dinner drink such as Campari or a cocktail will open the palate and while you enjoy the complimentary selection of antipasti and relax before dinner.
