Top five at Enrich Life Food Wine
There's a new kid on the block when I comes to sharing food love in a hands-on, exhibition sorta way.
Enrich - Life, Food Wine is coming to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from Friday 30 March to Sunday 1 April.
It promises to be innovative and interactive, showcasing life, food and wine like you’ve never seen it before. The line-up includes celebrity chefs Alastair McLeod and Ben O’Donaghue, Ed Halmaygi (Fast Ed), Paul Mercurio and Anna Gare, food celebrities Ian Parmenter and Lyndey Milan, with masterclasses at the Miele gallery, wine workshops, interactive cooking demonstrations and the opportunity to taste, touch, experience and learn something new about food and wine.
Plus there's a big variety of foodie/wine stands which will be sharing the latest and greatest. Interested? I've got two double passes to give away - see the details at the end of the post.
Here's my top five picks from the Enrich program - all available both Saturday and Sunday
Session 1: 11am - 11.45 Japanese Food in Australia.
Why?
I feel like I am doing myself a favour when I eat Japanese food.
What
Three great chefs, Alastair McLeod, Anna Gare and Shinichi Maeda explore Japanese cuisines and show how to make Japanese inspired masterpieces at home.
Session 2: 12.15pm - 1pm French Inspirations
Why?
Not sure if it's the French accent or the food that I love more.
What
Add some French passion to your home meals with tips from Brisbanes's French master, Thierry Galichet, Ben O'Donaghue and Anna Gare.
Session 3: 1.30 2.15 The Sound of Taste
Why?
This one is just a bit quirky and I love it.
What
Chef Fast Ed, wine writer Max Allen and musician Nathan Seller plus friends explore how sound relates to food and taste. Has to be experienced!
Session 4: 2.45-3.30pm Something about Spain
Why?
Can you pass up the opportunity to have Frank Camorra and Pablo Tordesillas cook for you?
What
Ian Parmenter will be leading this exploration of Spanish food culture with two of Australia's best Spanish Chefs.
Session 5 - Enrich your home
Why?
I'm building a house and need all the help I can get
What
Tips and inspiration to help you get the most out of your living space, what ever your budget, from Alan Saunders, Rob Mckendry, Spencer Patrick and Adrian Wright.
