Hola to tapas in the Valley

Người đăng: Unknown vào lúc 19:06
I wish I could say I've been holidaying in Spain and that's why it's taken me so long to write about Pintxo's menu launch.  It was for the beginning of winter and now it's almost spring but better late than never!

Pintxo in New Farm offers authentic traditional and contemporary Spanish tapas served in traditional style (raciones-small plates) so you can try a wide variety of Spanish tapas, mains and desserts.  Head Chef Jody Whelan sources fresh fruit and vegetables from the farms of Toowoomba as well as using imported Spanish products.

It's not hard to work through a generous selection of dishes as you will see from the photos below but this also was a party launch and the food was flowing thick.  It was all accompanied by delicious house made sangria which goes down very easily. I liked the red more than the white sangria but I'm sure it's a personal preference.

Suquet de Peix
Catalan fish stew of yellowtail king fish & whole prawns

Leche Frita
Petite Spanish milk pudding pieces coated in hazelnuts - particularly ymmy!

Tortilla de Verduras
   potato, leek & aubergine omelette

Pulpo el Fiero
   paprika spiced octopus

Aceitunas Fritas
   stuffed & fried olives

Patatas Bravas
twice cooked potato w/ bravas sauce

Montaditos
individual sourdough slice topped with Jamon Serrano, manchego w/ almond & tomato pesto
