Sunday reading - The Big Red Wine Book

The Big Red Wine Book 2010/11 was launched this week.

It's nearly 400 pages of wall-to-wall red wines with more than 1000 red wine reviews covering big reds, light reds, sparkling reds and a smattering of imported reds.
The cheapest wine in the book costs just $3 - the most expensive is up near the $600 mark. There's the Top 100 Reds Under $20 and a heap of other features.

The Big Red Wine Book was designed by authors Campbell Mattinson and Gary Walsh to be 'the kind of wine guide book they would love to buy themselves'. This 2010/11 edition is  serious about red wine but it's obvious they had lots of fun putting it together. If the book doesn't both save you money, and give you the odd laugh, I'd be surprised.

The book is widely available at RRP is $24.95.
